Why don't we see things in frames?

If you always carried a camera around with you, I suppose you could, but taking pictures every millisecond would be a wee bit bersome. Since existence/life is movement and is the sum total of framed moments (per my camera reference), then why can't we mentally capture this? Imagine if we could detect every color, crevice, shadow, tension, etc. In short, every single aspect of our environment, moment by moment. If someone could accomplish this, they would put even the most thoroughly trained zen masters/ ninjas to shame.
