Any advice on buying a new printer?

I have a hp psc 2175 all in one that keeps making a da da da da da sound repeatedly when it's power source is cut off. I have to keep turning it off and on over and over again and at some point it straightens itself out and works 100% till another power outage. This happens alot where I live. I really like this printer, but hp doesn't make it anymore (go figure!) does anyone have a good printer that I should get to replace this one? I don't fax but I do have an hp camera with card, do all printers accept all memory cards? Hope installing a new printer is easy, mine was done by a nice kid before but I have moved out of state since then. Thanks everybody!
