Am i really in the wrong here?

Stick to your guns you make the important decisions for your kids not other people when they are older you can explain right now leave them alone and let then grow up normally there will come a time in there lives when they will be exposed to these things and hopefully they will be able to make there won choices just as you are making the right choice for them now
