My red dead redemption wont work (PS3)?

i tried to download a game save file from offline for rdr and it wouldnt work, so i deleted my game data not my other game save files then i tried to re-install it and see if it would work then, now my game wont even work. every time i put in red dead redemption it says installing game data but when ever it gets to 72 it just stops and sits there and it does not move any further, is there any way i can fix this so that my game will play, is there a way i can download the game data offline and install it a way other than using the disk, please help thanks.
